A-Lenten-Prayer-a-Day, Day 32

Note: As a personal, spiritual discipline, reviving my practice in the Lenten season of 2017, I revise the prayers I wrote then for each of the forty days of this Lent; each petition focusing on a theme, a concern weighing on my mind and heart or a care of my soul and spirit.

On daily recreation (being a meditation on 2 Corinthians 4.16)…

O God of Compassion, through Your Spirit, renew, refashion my mind and heart, my soul and spirit that my being entire never can be as hardened, fastened fists, but always a vessel of opened, upturned hands.

So, this day, aye, daily remake me that I always am ready to receive the manifold gifts of Your sustaining grace.

Amen.
