Talent Judges

Note: Now, at the commencement of my birth month and the approach of my natal day anniversary, marking the penultimate year of my seventh decade of life in this world, thoughts of the meaning of mortality arise. This is one…

Jesus said, “A man, going on a journey, summoned his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability” (Matthew 25.14-15)

At the end of the literal day, that is, at the close of our lives in this world, none will remember how many talents we had held in our hands. However, all will reckon and, thus, serve as our judges, as to how we used them.
