A Platonic Idea

The flowers in our garden, each and all, however different in type, from kingdom to species, color and fragrance, are lovely to see, to have and to hold. As long as they last. For they, each and all, as all mortal things, wither and fade. Thus, I take comfort that in some unseen realm there resides the idea of the flower, which, as timeless, is perfect in its purity, forswearing all material fragility. Therefore, as long as I think, then I, though abiding in time and space, through the lens of reason, imagining the idea, behold eternity.

  1. Love this Paul!! Flowers truly are Perfect in their purity!! I also love trees and how they can survive for years abs years and while not nearly as beautiful as a flower also remind me of eternity.

    Much love!
