Suspension of Judgment. The seed and fruit, the planting and product of empathy. My ability and willingness to listen intently in an unfiltered fashion, “outside of the box” of my worldview and the framework of my history and memory, native instinct and attained insights, and established patterns of discernment. For, in this way, I can hear another’s life-story clearly and empathetically through the ears of the other’s reality.
