Religion (in a broad sense, whether theistic or non-theistic, principles pertaining to life’s meaning and destiny). The root of many, if not all differences that arise in encounter with another. In this awareness, I am able and willing to look underneath the articulations of my and anyone’s theological, philosophical, and ethical presenting perspectives, so to behold the heart of the matter; that is, what, I believe, is the common denominator underlying our intellectual assertions about truth – our human want and need, faith and doubt, certainty and fear.
