(God) he has spoken to us by a Son…through whom he…created the worlds. He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact imprint of God’s very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word (Hebrews 1.2ac-3a; my revision)
(As God’s) children share flesh and blood, (Jesus) likewise shares the same things…therefore, he (is) like his brothers and sisters in every respect (Hebrews 2.14a, 17a; my revision)
Because he is holy unlike me and because he is wholly like me. Therefore, he alone can call me to live into my destiny. Not, as the currently, commonly used phrase, “the best version of myself.” But rather, predating the dawn of time, my creation in the image of God.
