Lies That Kill

From the news wire: On Saturday, May 14, 2022, an 18-year-old white male entered a supermarket in Kingsley, a predominantly African American neighborhood in eastern Buffalo, New York, shooting 13 people, killing 10; 11 of the victims, African American. The shooter, who was captured and taken into custody, allegedly, is a white supremacist and a supporter of the “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory. The attack, described as an act of domestic terrorism, is being investigated as racially-motivated.

I wonder:

How can one who believes in racial supremacy also fear being replaced?

How can one believe in racial supremacy when race, as a political and social construct, always is dynamically fluid; which is to say, conceptually (and, much less, biologically), there is no racial purity?

Racial purity and supremacy, as monstrous mythologies, are lies that kill.
