Almighty God, on this Memorial Day, we remember all the men and women of our armed forces, known and unknown, who, in the face of trial and test, in the time of their valued and valorous service, laid down their lives for the sake of this our dearly loved nation. As we commemorate their sacrifices, we entrust their souls to your eternal Love; through Jesus Christ, who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, now and for ever. Amen.
