The deeper my human connections, the more I long to be immortal. For it anguishes me to contemplate the losses that come with death. Perhaps the risk and fear of the pain of grief is why some people (at times, me, too) resist drawing closer to others. Yet to fall prey to that temptation is to lose in life what inevitably is lost in death; thus, to die whilst still alive.
