They who wait for the Lord, renewed in strength, rise on eagles’ wings, running without weariness, walking without fainting (Isaiah 40.31; my revision)
Sometimes – amid my worries about my aging, lessening wealth of health and the worldly woes of all the ancient, still alive-and-unwell -isms and phobias – I confess that I forget my principal vocation to pursue the truth of love and justice, and then to live the truth I profess.

Whenever I forget, I, waiting for the Lord, am re-membered, so to continue striving in fulfilling my calling.
