In the beginning was the Word…and the Word became flesh (John 1.1a, 14a)
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…and formed man from the dust of the ground, breathing into his nostrils the breath of life (Genesis 1.1, 2.7a; my revision)
Thus, saith the Lord, “Hide not yourself from your own flesh” (Isaiah 58.7b; my revision)

I come to (become) you as breath in stardust; and, still, you know Me not. This I know, for I behold your oppression of your own flesh.
Would that you seek Me with minds void of your assumed, self-assured sense and with hearts hollowed of pride, bearing only the purity of hunger for Me.
Then might you see Me in the unlikeliness of your own likeness. Then you would know that I ever hath made you, each and all of you, of and for Mine Own.

Only after writing “purity of hunger” of hearts did I realize that I had channeled the beatitude, “Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God.”
